Alloy 625 material is a corrosion and oxidation resistant nickel alloy that is used both for its outstanding aqueous corrosion resistance and high strength. Inconel 625 has a Specific Heat of 427 J/kg-°C (0–100°C),  0.102 BTU/lb-°F (32–212°F). Inconel 625 has a Thermal Conductivity of 212°F (100°C) and an Electrical Resistivity of 128.9 Microhm-cm at 21°C (50.8 Microhm-in at 70°F).Its outstanding strength and toughness is because of the niobium addition in it which perform with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloy’s matrix. Alloy 625 has excellent fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance to chloride ions.The Melting Range of Inconel 625 is 1290–1350°C (2350–2460°F). 

Inconel alloy 625 products are a type of Nickel based alloy with a high Chromium content (approx. 25wt%) with an addition of Aluminium.Inconel 625 has a Chemical Composition of: Nickel 58.0 min. Chromium 20.0-23.0. Iron 5.0 max. Molybdenum 8.0-10.0. Niobium (plus Tantalum) 3.15-4.15. Carbon 0.10 max. Manganese 0.50 max. Silicon 0.50 max. Phosphorus 0.015 max. Sulfur 0.015 max. Aluminum 0.40 max. Titanium 0.40 max. Cobalt a 1.0 max. Alloy 625 material has a density of 8.44 g/cm3 (0.305 lbs/in3). Alloy 625 is mainly used for high temperature oxidising applications in the heat treatment of metals and materials.The properties of INCONEL alloy 625 make it a material of broad utility in such fields as aerospace, chemical processing, thermal processing, power generation and pollution control.
