Alloy 600 or Inconel 600, is a non-magnetic nickel-chromium alloy and is widely referred as UNS N06600, while Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy, with an addition of aluminum. Inconel 601 exhibits excellent resistance to high temperature oxidation. Inconel 625, a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy, is another super alloy which widely used in chemical processing, marine engineering, petrochemical and oil and gas offshore industries.
Inconel® 600 Pipe Fittings is a nonmagnetic nickel-chromium alloy with properties that include high temperature strength comparable to 18-8 alloys and high resistance to organic and inorganic corrosives. Alloy 600 Pipe Fittings performs well in temperatures ranging from cryogenic up to 2000°F.
Inconel 625 is a corrosion and oxidation resistant nickel alloy that is used both for its high strength and outstanding aqueous corrosion resistance. Its outstanding strength and toughness is due to the addition of niobium which acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloy’s matrix. .Alloy 625 has excellent fatigue strength and stress-corrosion cracking resistance to chloride ions. This nickel alloy has excellent weldability and is frequently used to weld AL-6XN
Incoloy 800 is a combination of nickel and chromium alloy that has excellent tensile strength and resistance to oxidation as well as carburzation properties. This alloy is extremely functional as it maintains a stable structure, even when exposed to high temperature. The Inconel is extremely resistant to corrosion, even in acidic environment. Alloy 800 is a widely used material of construction for equipment that must resist corrosion, have high strength or resist oxidation and other harmful effects of high-temperature exposure.
Inconel 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. This nickel steel alloy’s chemical composition is designed to provide exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments. It is similar to alloy 800 but has improved resistance to aqueous corrosion. It has excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, to stress-corrosion cracking, and to localized attack such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Alloy 825 is especially resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids. This nickel steel alloy is used for chemical processing, pollution-control equipment, oil and gas well piping, nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production, and pickling equipment.
