The Breakdown voltage of Switching Spark Gap (SSG) mainly ranging from 90V to 2000V with many advantages including complete varieties, good stability and long lifetime (it can be switched for over thousands of times to millions of times). This product can be used for all applications that generate high-voltage pulses, such as xenon lamp triggering and lighting in car headlights, heating, gas equipment, high-voltage switches, power plants, substations, buildings and industrial boilers, etc., electronic ignition of gas heating and household gas appliances (gas stoves), ignition of ultra-high pressure gas discharge lamps for data and video projectors, and aerospace and other fields. The above ignition performance largely depends on the characteristics of the switching spark gap.

Gas Discharge Tube' Impulse discharge current resistance is good (Highpower series parameter about 8/20μs can reach about 100KA), small capacitance and quick response. It is widely used for over-voltage protection of telecom and other electronics as well as lightning protection.
